“To teach is to become a true learner” is our motto at Yoga Leaf Hatha Yoga TTC 200hours.
So, if you are a teacher, you must love to teach. Much better if you love the subject you teach too.
Teaching is about passion, it must coming from your heart. As Rumi said: “If you do things from your soul, you will feel a river moving in you. A joy”. So, dont do it only to earn money, but also to access your source of happiness. Why not?
It s as simple as: If you love what you do, you will love your whole life. But if you dont, you will hate your life.
As an adult, we spend big part of our time in our work. So, if you have a chance to choose, do only what you love. It will save your time and energy and prevent you from internal conflicts. But if you dont have a chance to choose, well, just love what you do ( it s another topic. We ll talk about it some other time ).
I always love this piece of writing coming from a school teacher ( I haven’t met him in person. I received it from email years ago). It reminds me why I want to become a teacher. Teaching makes me feel I have a mission to accomplish in life. Teaching is my soul calling that I’m losing myself in it.
And yes, I can feel it too. The feeling of proud and satisfaction to see my students, one by one, grow sucessfully in their own way. It gives me a sense of success too, a sense that I must have done something right to them when they were still learning through me.
To end this note, I’d like to quote Nikos Kazantzikas (a writer and books author): “A true teachers are those who use themselves as bridges over which they invite their students to cross, then having they facilitated their crossing joyfully collapse, and encouraging them to create their own bridges”.
Happy learning, dear teacher trainees #yogaleafttc13 .. See you again next month 🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♀️🙇♀️
